Letโ€™s Talk About Healthier Food

Chef Scott Doesnโ€™t Always Eat Healthy

So hereโ€™s the scoop: Publicly, and on this Site, the Chef espouses healthy foods. But, in private, and when heโ€™s teaching culinary arts at Berkeley Adult School, maybe some foods - just a few mind you - might not be...uh...all that good for the body.

Yes, Chef Scott occasionally loves a BIG, juicy burger and his culinary degree is in baking ๐Ÿ˜ฑ.

Itโ€™s important to publicly out the Chefโ€™s comfort foods now so others are unable to expose his dirty little food secrets.

So why promote healthy eating?

Because itโ€™s literally a QUALITY OF LIFE requirement. As the old saying goes, โ€œDonโ€™t do as the Chef do, do what the chef tells you to do.โ€ Got it? Good. Now keep reading.

Chef Scott is an insulin-dependent Type 2 Diabetic. That REQUIRES healthy eating. Itโ€™s a terrible thing to eat oneself into this miserable disease. The big question: how many boxes of Brown Sugar-Cinnamon Pop Tarts does it take to eat oneโ€™s self into being Diabetic? Chef Scott doesnโ€™t know because he stopped counting at the age of 12.

Chef Scott has Crohnโ€™s Disease-since 1978! Damn! It wasnโ€™t even fashionable back then. A compulsive overeater, he ate himself into major surgeries by not respecting his body and its food requirements.

Chef Scott believes that, outside of Sponge Bob, no one is perfect. He believes that we all struggle with demons. For him, Food represents the biggest demon of  them all. Itโ€™s not easy being him.

Does this sound a bit preachy? You bet your giant Cinnabons it is. But the time to ramp up our self-care is NOW๐Ÿ˜˜

Chef Scott regularly proves to his audiences that one can change the way they eat. By creating and sourcing recipes that really taste good, but are simple to prepare, and really really really healthy for you, he inspires people to make a move towards a better life.
